If you would tell me the heart of a man, tell me not what he reads, but what he rereads.

About This Quote

I have a wide range of interests and hobbies. Reading is one that I spend a good deal of my time in. Reading allows me to escape the world around me. It also helps me in passing the time if I am waiting in line or when I am stranded at the airport.

One day when I was in a bookstore, a woman came up to me and asked if I had ever been to this place before. I told her I had been here several times but didn’t remember it being so crowded. She told me that this was not a normal crowd, that this was a writer’s crowd and that they come by to read their work aloud for others to hear.

She explained that people come here to read their work aloud because they believe that if they heard their work out loud, it will give it a better chance of being published. According to her , she said everyone can write but not everyone can self-publish.
